Rosianne Cutajar: I asked to be replaced at Council of Europe

MP Rosianne Cutajar has hit back at reports that she had been removed from Malta’s delegation to the Council of Europe.

In a Facebook post she said, “Contrary to what has been reported (or rather spun) in some newspapers, I have not been removed as a member of the Council of Europe.

A number of months ago (long before a complaint was lodged against me) I asked to be replaced as a member of the Council of Europe. Now that a replacement has been found, a motion has been tabled in Parliament to make my request for replacement official.
This does not mean that I will not defend my name from the allegations and doubts that are being dispelled by the friends of Jason Azzopardi and the Nationalist Party in Europe”.
