President of Malta George Vella and Mrs Vella visited Palazzo Falson, a historic house museum in Mdina managed by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti. They were greeted, shown around, and introduced to staff, interns, and volunteers by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Lowell, and the venue’s curator, Caroline Tonna.
At the end of the visit, the President remarked that one must admire the fact that the material gathered in this place was left by Captain Olof Frederick Gollcher OBE (1889-1962)—an artist, philanthropist, and a collector of objets d’art and historical objects—to be enjoyed by succeeding generations. He encouraged the Maltese to join tourists in experiencing the beauty of such places.
