Police from the Sliema District managed to break a bicycle theft ring which would sell the stolen bikes.
Police arrested two men in connection with the case.
In recent months, District Police have noticed an increase in reports of stolen bicycles from localities of Sliema, Gzira and the surrounding area.
Investigations led them to identifiy some of the stolen bicycles and which were allegedly being sold on an open market.
From further investigations police identified the alleged seller as well as a man who allegedly stole the wheels.
