The Police Federation of England and Wales says it no longer has confidence in Home Secretary Priti Patel.
The announcement comes less than 24 hours after Priti Patel said that officers earning more than £24,000 will be subject to a pay freeze.
Priti Patel had recently said that the government ‘recognises the bravery, commitment and professionalism’ of police officers.
Despite this she said there would be no pay increase for officers, a decision described as the “final straw” by the Police Federation.
