The first office from a series of other offices was inaugurated in Mellieħa and will be opened next year in various locations to further facilitate the accessibility of AgriConnect to the farming community and to meet the needs of farmers based in Gozo and the North of Malta. The inauguration was made by the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Animal Rights Anton Refalo who explained that this service will help farmers and ranchers who experience difficulties in comply with the needs related to the Common Agricultural Policy known as the CAP.

This is done by providing them with the opportunity to seek specific personalized information and advisory advice aimed at promoting diversification in their agricultural work, producing higher quality products, and encouraging sectoral innovation.

This could only be done as AgriConnect has gained recognition to function as a Farm Advisory Service and can thus ensure that farmers and ranchers comply with regulations, while utilizing EU funds to obtain dan.

The service offered by AgriConnect is subsidized by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development EAFRD.
