Long and Efficient Service Medals and Clasps have been awarded to 123 Armed Forces of Malta members and ex-servicemen. The Long and Efficient Service Medal is an award presented to those who have served for 18 years in the Force. The first clasp is presented to those who have served for 25 years, while a second clasp is presented to those who have served for 30 years or more.
Minister for Home Affairs, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri presented the awards to the AFM members and ex-servicemen.
In order to ensure strict adherence to the provisions and directions legislated by the public health authorities, all detailed personnel wore a facemask throughout the ceremony, and spacing was observed whilst on parade in view of social distancing measures. Awards were also collected by each respective individual, to avoid any physical contact between those present
