The Housing Development Fund within the Housing Authority intends to, in addition to strengthening housing solutions, increase services and facilities that improve the standard of living in villages.
Through the fund, the Housing Authority will manage funds from entities, both public and private, which will be reinvested to improve the situation of thousands of people living in areas of social housing and the surrounding area.
The Fund’s first two contributors, Community Malta and Residence Malta, committed a total contribution of € 1,500,000. These will be transferred over a period of three years, with a payment of € 250,000 each per year until the year 2023 through an agreement signed between the two public entities and the Housing Authority.
