The Malta women’s national team will be facing Montenegro in a double-header friendly.
The Malta Football Association has reached an agreement with the Montenegro Football Association in the upcoming June international window for women teams.
Led by Mark Gatt, the Maltese women are at the back of their participation in the inaugural Visit Malta Tournament where they rubbed shoulders with Slovakia and Sweden at the Hibernians Stadium.
These friendlies will serve Malta as preparation in the build-up for next September’s opening two games from their 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification campaign against Denmark and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Malta’s first game with Montenegro is pencilled in for June 10 whereas three days later, both teams will meet again.
All games will take place at the Centenary Stadium.
