Malta to play international friendlies against Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Kazakhstan

Malta will be playing full international friendly matches against Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Kazakhstan as part of the Austria training camp to start next week.

The Malta Football Association has reached agreement with the other three European Associations to play these friendly matches as part of the forthcoming May/June international window.

For the Malta senior team these encounters will serve as preparation for the remaining Qualifying Group H fixtures coming up between September and November.

The team led by Head Coach Devis Mangia is scheduled to play Northern Ireland in Klagenfurt on May 31st and Kosovo at the same venue on June 4th, before rounding off these pre-summer commitments with a final match against Kazakhstan in Wolfsberg on June 7th.

Meanwhile, the Under 21 Team under the guidance of new coach Gilbert Agius, will also be engaged in a training camp prior to the commencement of the UEFA European U21 Championship qualification matches in September.

The Malta U21 selection will be based in Slovenia, with the team facing the Qatar Under 23 Olympic team in a double-header on the 29th and 30th of May, and Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 4th.
