Nearly two weeks after it was included in the UK’s Green Travel list, Portugal has extended its Covid-19 restrictions until the end of May.
The second-highest level of coronavirus alert, “a state of calamity” with non-residents of Portugal only allowed to enter the country if their travel is essential, a COVID test is required within 72 hours of departure, and even those with a negative result can still be refused permission to board a flight or be made to quarantine in government-approved accommodation on arrival.
These restrictions may also have an impact of the Champions League Final which UEFA have just switched from Istanbul to Portugal.
