Keith Schembri denied bail

Keith Schembri, along with Malcolm Scerri, and Robert Zammit were denied bail over charges of corruption in a a bribery and money laundering case.

A former chief of staff at the Office of the Prime Minister, Schembri and ten others charged on multiple counts of money laundering, fraud, forgery and corruption.

To avoid a lengthy trail, Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech urged the prosecution to conclude it’s investigation as quickly as possible.
