Keith Schembri expected to be charged with money-laundering

Keith Schembri, the former chief of staff at the OPM, is expected to appear in court this afternoon to face money-laundering charges.

Earlier this morning Schembri could be seen entering the offices of the Economic Crimes Unit in Santa Venera.

Also due in court today is Adrian Hillman, former managing director at Allied Newspapers. However it is being reported that he is in the UK.

The court arraignments today are in connection with the findings of a magisterial inquiry into allegations that Schembri paid Hillman more than half a million euros between 2011 and 2015.
