Xewkija Mill following an investment of almost € 500,000 with a substantial part of them European funds, in order to restore this mill which is now open to the public.
The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, accompanied by the Parliamentary Secretary for European Funds Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, inaugurated the restoration works carried out on the Xewkija Mill. These works, with an investment of almost half a million euros, € 500,000, most of them European funds, included among others an extensive restoration of the mill both from the outside and from the inside.
The Minister for Gozo said that, “The important projects are not only those of the road infrastructure but also those through which we restore and take care of our heritage and cultural heritage. What our fathers left us and what makes us who we are today ”.
