Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo Lendita Haxhitasim presented Letters of Credence to President George Vella at Sant’Anton Palace, Attard.
President Vella referred to the excellent relations between Malta and Kosovo, and welcomed the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation framework in recent years. He encouraged her to look actively at the potential that exists in the commercial, industrial, cultural and economic fields.
The President referred to the support given to Kosovo in its path towards EU accession, as well as towards stability in the Western Balkan region.
Ambassador Haxhitasim expressed appreciation for the assistance extended by Malta, particularly in its EU membership goal, and reiterated her country’s commitment to meeting the reform criteria related to accession.
