Five people have been arrested in a series of raids in Zejtun by officers from the Anti-Drugs Police Squad.
The first operation took place last Sunday when the police stopped a 53-year-old man in Triq Bon Kunsill in the town and found he was carrying three packets suspected to be cocaine. A search of the man’s house uncovered another eleven packets.
In another operation yesterday, police arrested four men after several days of surveillance. From a search of a residence in Joe Attard Street they found several sachets suspected to be cocaine and heroin, ready for trafficking, as well as various items related to drug trafficking and cash.
Investigations into these two cases are ongoing.
