A 40-year-old man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after allegedly being assaulted in St Paul’s Bay on Saturday night.
Police say they received a report that there was an injured man in Triq ix-Xtut, San Pawl il-Baħar.
However when officers and a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital arrived at the scene the man was not to be found.
Officers they discovered had been taken to Mosta Health Centre and from there transferred to the hospital
