During a visit to the horse race track in Ta ‘Xħjama, the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri inaugurated a new Moschi tractor which was purchased with a value of around € 60,000 and which will be used for the maintenance of every day you would need the track to be well maintained.
A number of events related to the sport of horse racing in Gozo are primarily organized at the horse race track in Ta ’Xħajma. The potential offered by this facility within the limits of Xewkija, Gozo, can be enjoyed not only by horse enthusiasts but also by the Gozitan sports public.
Minister Camilleri said that the existing tractor with which the sand was flattened especially before each race was very old and the need was felt to buy another new tractor that addresses today’s needs in terms of power. engine, comfort, economic expectations and operator health.
The course in Ta ’Xħajma is run by the Services Directorate in Gozo, within the Ministry for Gozo.
