Pizza Hut has introduced a new sourdough San Francisco style pizza making its debut in restaurants all over Malta.
This launch is one of the most significant modifications of Pizza Hut’s offer in recent years and Malta is one of the pioneering markets to launch this dough.
Pizza Hut came up with an idea for the completely new style of pizza over two years ago. The changes were prompted by large-scale market research indicating a growing consumer need and demand for an artisan, handcrafted pizza made from sourdough.
To follow on that trend, Pizza Hut looked for inspiration in the tradition of sourdough breads typical for San Francisco.
Working in headquarters of the company in Dallas, an international team managed to develop a recipe for a product whose airiness and crispiness are typical of an artisan pizza.
To complement the launch of the San Francisco style pizza, Pizza Hut have also introduced new taste and ingredient combinations into the offer with light and fresh toppings including Prosciutto & Rucola (with Mozzarella Fior di latte, Prosciutto, Rucola and Grana Padano) Bianca Neve (with Mozzarella, Rucola & Grana Padano) and a Vegetarian Diavola (with Mozzarella, peppers, red onions, tomatoes and jalapenos) and more exciting flavours being developed.
The new San Francisco Style pizzas are made from scratch every day in Pizza Hut Restaurants, with the use of locally supplied, high quality ingredients.
Food Chain Limited, member of the Farsons Group, is operating franchisee for Pizza Hut Malta and operates five restaurants in St Julian’s, Sliema, Valletta, Bugibba and Qormi.
