Donald Trump allows transition of power to begin

President Donald Trump has finally agreed that the transition process should start, after weeks of legal wrangling.

His office instructed the General Services Administration (GSA), the federal agency overseeing the handover to begin the transition of power, however he still refuses to concede the election, repeating unsubstantiated claims of a “rigged election”.

Key states of Pennsylvania and Michigan have certified Joe Biden as winner and the Democrat president-elect is projected to win 306 electoral votes, well above the 270 required to win.
