New AIB Insurance Brokers offices inaugurated with an investment of € 1.5 million

“Private investment that shows confidence in the work of the Government” – Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Prime Minister Robert Abela and Minister for Finance and Financial Services Edward Scicluna inaugurated new AIB Insurance Brokers Ltd offices in Santa Venera with an investment of € 1.5 million.

Founded in 2002, this insurance company now employs 20 people – all of whom are qualified to best meet the needs of their customers. The property is spread over three floors and includes several meeting spaces, open and closed offices, as well as a wonderful courtyard and garden.

The Prime Minister met with the staff of the company and wished them every success in their work despite the challenges that everyone had to face. “Such a project shows how much private companies in our country have confidence in the work of the Government. Not only are local investments being boosted but this is currently translating into top quality economic growth, while ensuring transparency and professionalism in the work you do, ” said Dr Abela.

Minister for Finance and Financial Services Edward Scicluna said it was always gratifying to see operators in the insurance industry consider further investment in the sector. This contributes to more economic growth as well as job creation. Minister Scicluna explained that the insurance sector has grown in recent years and attracted investments from various countries to our country. So much so that today we find 68 licensed insurance companies in Malta, with assets amounting to € 13.8 billion. This bodes well for the whole economy.
