The Civil Protection fleet continues to be strengthened

The Department of Civil Protection continues to invest in tools at various stations across the country.

This is not only with the capital investment given in the budget, but also with agreements with other entities in the country.

In fact, the Minister of the Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri together with the Minister for Energy and Water Management Michael Farrugia inaugurated new equipment for Civil Protection with investment of € 75,000. This equipment is the result of an agreement between Enemed, the Enemalta corporation and the Department of Civil Protection, for the purchase of two vehicles for the Delimara station.

The Minister for Energy and Water Management Michael Farrugia said that the cooperation between Enemed and Enemalta is continuous and has been going on for the last few years. He said that the investment we are seeing today will be translated into good for the Maltese and Gozitan people so that they can be given help in case of need by the Civil Protection who will always be at the forefront to assist where necessary.

The Minister of Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri explained how this investment is the result of a clear plan that will allow the Department of Civil Protection to further strengthen its fleet. “Our commitment is to ensure that the Civil Protection has the best possible equipment to be able to face the challenges that arise, even in the field of energy. Not only is the government investing much more than years ago in this department, but other entities that appreciate the work done by firefighters are also making their financial contribution, “said Minister Camilleri.
