An 89-year-old woman died after contracting Covid-19, health authorities report.
The elderly woman, was suffering from another chronic illness, was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on October 23 and was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the same day. She continued to be treated at Mater Dei Hospital where she died last night.
The Ministry of Health, while offering condolences to the relatives of the elderly, calls on the people to continue to follow the appeals of the Department of Health, including frequent hand washing, keep the physical distance and the use of the mask everywhere.
