Prime Minister visits the construction of a new Aquatic and Sports Center in Gozo

Prime Minister Robert Abela visits the Gozo Aquatic Centre project Victoria, Gozo (adjacent to the Victoria sports complex)

Prime Minister Robert Abela accompanied by the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri visited the construction site where the Aquatic and Sports Center is being built in Victoria, Gozo.

This project with an investment of around € 9 million is expected to be completed by next year, and will include an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a large number of indoor sports facilities.

Prime Minister Robert Abela said that this is a government that not only believes in sport, but is clearly showing that it will continue to invest in Gozo, Gozitans and youth with the aim of continuing to meet their aspirations in their lives.

The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri stated that”not only will we make a national swimming pool, but various sports facilities that will not only be able to be used and enjoyed by the Gozitan people, but through them Gozo will begin to attract sports tourism”.

Architect Godwin Sultana was in charge of the presentation project, during which he explained what this project will consist of and all the work that is being done on the site.

As announced in the 2021 Budget, this government is committed to carrying out this long-awaited project for Gozitans, in particular by all those who love sport.
