Floriana bowed out of the Europa League after losing their third qualifying round to FC Flora of Estonia on penalties.
After a quiet first half the game burst into life in the second period with both sides going close to opening the scoring.
Floriana created several chances but were found the Flora keeper and the goal post blocking their efforts.
Extra time failed to settle the tie and a penalty shootout was needed to decide the match.
Heartache for Floriana who saw two penalties saved but it was FC Flora who go through to a fourth round tie against Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb.
