Captain Clifford Chetcuti has tendered his resignation from his role as Air Malta CEO for personal reasons.
Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses Silvio Schembri thanks Captain Chetcuti for his sterling work in the strengthening of the airline during the past two years.
He commended Captain Chetcuti for his resilience and personal commitment in leading the company through such challenging times.
Despite the fact that the government of Malta has full confidence in Captain Chetcuti, his decision is being respected.
Captain Chetcuti will be supporting the company until Air Malta appoints a new CEO. He has also kindly offered his unconditional support to the national airline at no remuneration.
