A huge explosion that ripped through the port region of Beirut on Tuesday left around 70 dead and thousands injured authorities say.
Lebanon’s Prime Minister Hassan Diab has called for a day of mourning saying the explosion was caused be thousands of tonnes of ammonium nitrate left at a warehouse near the city’s port for six years.
