Malta Public Transport is re-introducing night route N13 between St Julian’s and Valletta, with effect from Friday 24 July 2020. Due to public demand, this is the first night route to be resumed since the night service was suspended in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

N13 operates on Friday and Saturday nights, with buses leaving Valletta and St. Julian’s every 20 minutes, making stops in Sliema, Gżira, Msida, Pietà, and Floriana.

The first bus towards Valletta leaves St Julian’s at 23:20 and the last one departs at 02:20. In the opposite direction, the first bus leaves Valletta for St Julian’s at 23:10 and the last one departs at 01:50.

The standard Night Route fares apply: €2.50 for Tallinja Card users and €3.00 for cash tickets. Passengers purchasing cash tickets are reminded that the contactless exact-fare policy is still in place and drivers are unable to provide change.

There is no additional charge for passengers using Explore and Explore Plus Meed cards, since night routes are included in the seven days of unlimited travel by bus. Then paying with the 12 Single Day Journeys card, two trips are deducted for night routes, which is the equivalent of €2.50.
