The morning-after pill will be made available over-the-counter and will not require a doctor’s prescription, Malta Medicines Authority chief Anthony Serracino Inglott has said.
He was not able however to say when the pill would go on the market.
The morning after pill has aroused a certain amount of controversy with action groups arguing for and against its introduction.
