COVID-19 vaccine letters distributed to older people over 85 years of age

From next Monday and in the following days, the elderly over the age of 85 and living in their homes will start receiving the appointment letter to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, with dates, times and location for the first and second dose of vaccine.

The letter will be sent to the address that the elderly must have on their identity card and therefore the place chosen for vaccination will be in the vicinity of this address.

Elderly people who cannot leave their homes and who are registered with Commcare will not receive the letter of appointment with this group, as the necessary arrangements will be made for the Health Authorities to go to the the homes of these seniors in the coming weeks. However if these seniors have the means to go to the health centers for vaccination, they are asked to call 145 in order to issue an appointment to them as soon as possible.

Seniors over the age of 85 who do not receive the letter by the end of next week are asked to call 145 to make the necessary arrangements.

The Ministry of Health is aware that there is a possibility that people who are no longer with us are still listed on the Health Authorities lists and it is therefore possible that these people will still receive an invitation at the last address they were registered therein. While apologizing for this, the Ministry calls for the relatives of these people to call 145 and notify the authorities of this information.
