Memorandum of Understanding between Aġenzija Sapport and Active Ageing and Community Care signed

Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis presides over the signing of an MoU between Aġenzija Sapport and Active Ageing and Community Care 12-11-2020

Aġenzija Sapport CEO Ruth Sciberras and Active Ageing and Community Care CEO Renzo De Gabriele signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming to improve collaboration between the two entities.

Through this MOU, the parties agree to collaborate in the organisation of activities and projects that relate to older persons and persons with disability. The parties are also agreeing to collaborate on new initiatives taken on by both entities related to schemes such as the renting of equipment for older persons and persons with disabilities.

Both parties shall also discuss projects and activities, provide training for staff, provide a support plan for residents with disability in elderly residential homes, and explore ways of further collaborating on common projects to share resources and reduce bureaucracy between entities.

Furthermore, through this MOU the parties are also agreeing to encourage staff to carry out research related to older persons with disability and to provide each other with all the necessary information.

Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis, who presided over this signing, said that this MOU will increase the collaboration between Aġenzija Sapport and Active Ageing and Community Care, but most importantly will continue helping to further improve the quality of life of persons with disability and older persons.
