Two elderly patients die from Covid-19

Ministry of Health has confirmed that two elderly people died after contracting Covid-19.

In the first case, an 86-year-old man, who was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on November 1 and confirmed positive for Covid-19, died earlier that day in Mater Dei.

In the second case, an 87-year-old man who was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on November 1 and confirmed positive for Covid-19 the next day, also died earlier today.

In both cases, the elderly suffered from other chronic illnesses.

The Ministry of Health offers its condolences to the relatives and continues to call for the people to be prudent and obey the preventive measures. Wearing a mask and social distance are fundamental to protecting the vulnerable.
