PIN code to issue vaccine certificates to children

A PIN code (health token) can now be used as an alternative to the ID document number (found on the back of ID cards) to be able to issue a covid vaccine certificate.

Parents or guardians of children between the ages of 12 and 15 will be receiving an SMS with the following text:

Generate your child’s vaccine certificate by accessing https://healthtoken.gov.mt. Use the generated security token to download the certificate.

Individuals can either go to the link directly or access through the alternative login on https://certifikatvaccin.gov.mt. Details to input are:

1. The child’s hospital/ID number.

2. Date of Birth

3. Mobile number

4. E-mail address

Upon submission, requestors will receive an SMS on the mobile number provided from the Malta Covid Vaccine Certificate team with token details to input instead of the ID document number in the alternative login sign in of https://certifikatvaccin.gov.mt.

This system can also be utilised by anyone who has a hospital number. This means any ID card holder – Maltese residents as well as foreigners who were assigned a hospital number. One may call 145 for more information.
