The Ministry of Health reports that two elderly people died overnight after testing positive for Covid-19.
In the first case, a 91-year-old woman died late last night at Mater Dei Hospital. She was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on October 21. She was admitted to Boffa Hospital on October 24 and transferred to Mater Dei Hospital on October 27. She was suffering from another chronic illness.
In the second case, an 80-year-old man, who also died overnight, tested positive for Covid-19 on October 15 and admitted to St Thomas Hospital on October 17 and transferred to Mater Dei Hospital on 21 October.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of both families, once again calls on the people to continue to follow the preventive measures so that together we can make a difference against the progress of the Covid-19.
