Hibernians were crowned Meridianbet FA Trophy winners after a thrilling 2-1 win over Birkirkara.
A season that had yo-yoed for Hibs came good in the final stages of the FA Trophy and ended in victory and the bonus of clinching a place in European football next season.
Apostolos Martinis fired Hibs in front on the quarter hour with a powerfully struck free kick.
Both sides had chances that went begging but B’Kara were back on level terms late in the second half after they were awarded a freekick when Alex Satariano was brought down just outside the area by Khevin Fraga and Maxuell Maia found the top corner of the Hibs net.
There was time for more drama when Apostolos Martinis delivered a corner from the right and Kurt Shaw headed home past goalkeeper Volpe.
Hibs almost added another but Viella’s close range effort came off the post.
2-1 at the final whistle and time for Hibs and their supporters to start celebrating.
