At the Auberge de Castille, Prime Minister Robert Abela had a meeting with the new executive of the National Youth Council (KNŻ) where they presented him with their priorities as a new council.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stated that the government firmly believes in youth and that youth should be at the heart of the decisions that are made, so much so that the Youth Advisory Forum was established.
In this Forum, the KNŻ has a permanent representative, and it is serving as an important instrument for consulting with youth on national themes. Dr Abela said that together with youth they must continue to write the future of our country. Here he mentioned the Malta Vision 2050 and encouraged them to take part in the ongoing consultation that will lead to the vision of what Malta we want, so that the priorities of the youth, who will be the leaders of tomorrow, are based on this vision.
The Prime Minister concluded by wishing them well in their work to best represent all the youth in our country. Also present at the meeting were the Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation Keith Azzopardi Tanti and the Cabinet Secretary Ryan Spagnol.
