A 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested during road checks in Marsa over alleged drug trafficking.
When police were inspecting the couple’s vehicle, their conversation with the driver raised suspicions, prompting a search. That search uncovered substances suspected to be cannabis and cocaine, as well as an amount of cash.
Police inquiries are continuing.
