Prime Minister Robert Abela, together with the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, inaugurated the new office building of SiGMA Group following the substantial growth of the company over the past few years. This investment confirms Malta’s leading role in the iGaming and international conferences sectors.
SiGMA Group, comprised of MedTech World, Ikigai Ventures, iGaming Academy, and Wicked Games and which started from a small office in Malta, has now grown into an international organisation with over 250 employees in several countries. This year alone, SiGMA is expected to organise seven major events attracting over 100,000 delegates, including SiGMA Euro-Med next September at the Malta Mediterranean Hub in Marsa.
During a tour of the new office building, Prime Minister Robert Abela stressed the importance of this step not only for SiGMA, but also for the Maltese economy. “Today we are not only witnessing the new offices of SiGMA, but we are also celebrating an economic success that reflects the ambition and vision of our country. The iGaming industry remains one of Malta’s economic pillars, and through sound regulation, technological innovation, and excellent talent, we will continue to strengthen our position as a leading hub in the digital gaming sector.”
SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis expressed his enthusiasm for this new phase in Malta, adding that during this year, the organisation will be extending its presence with new offices in Noida, India, and Belgrade, Serbia, while next year strategic developments will take place in Cyprus, Manila, and São Paulo. This will strengthen the company’s global connectivity and further foster cultural integration between the countries from which they operate.
“Over the next decade, SiGMA will enter its most ambitious phase of growth. We are planning to extend our presence to more cities in the United States, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. At the same time, we will organize more events, while opening new offices, including in Las Vegas. Our goal is clear: to become among the top three major leaders in our field on a global level, and to be proud to represent Malta as a leading center in this sector,” said Eman Pulis.
This investment not only strengthens SiGMA’s presence in Malta, but also demonstrates the enormous potential that the international conference industry has. The Government is already supporting this growth by preparing plans for a conference centre, which will further strengthen our country’s tourism and economic sector, with an emphasis on quality.
The inauguration of SiGMA’s new offices is more than an infrastructural project. It is a major step forward for Malta to remain at the forefront of the iGaming industry and international business connectivity. The Government will remain committed to supporting initiatives such as these that will bring more investment, quality jobs, and sustainable growth to the country.
