UEFA Nations League: Faroe Islands v Malta

Malta and the Faroe Islands met in the Euro 2020 qualifiers with a win apiece.

They also met in the first running of the Nations League with the Faroe Islands getting the better of Malta.

This time, Malta will be aiming to take at the least an away point.

New National coach Devis Mangia knows that his sides preparations have not been perfect. Malta has not played a competitive match sitnce he took over with friendlies against Gibraltar and Azerbaijan in March as well as games planned for June being cancelled due to coronavirus.

Faroe Islands managed just one win in their qualifying campaign for Euro 2020 but that did come against their opponents in this opening Nations League contest.

Tonight’s match will be a tough test for the players and coach. It will be a test they all want to pass.
