Your safety is our priority
Malta Public Transport is continually adopting measures and investing in new equipment to ensure that our buses are safe. Protecting our passengers and drivers is at the top of our agenda.
- Our entire bus fleet is sanitized daily and buses are being cleaned more frequently. Air purifiers are also being used on buses at different intervals throughout the day.
- Passengers must wear face masks on public transport. Please wear a face mask before boarding the bus and keep the face mask on throughout the journey. Kindly note that bus drivers are not required to wear a face mask while driving since protective screens have been installed on all driver cabins to keep everyone safe.
- We have limited the standing capacity on buses to enable social distancing. Please do not board the bus if the driver indicates that full capacity has been reached.
- All our buses are all equipped with CCTV, allowing us to monitor the service to see that safety measures are being observed. CCTV footage from our buses is also sent to the authorities upon request.
