Three men, two Italians and an Albanian national, were arrested today in connection with drugs trafficking.
Intensive investigations by police in the last few days led police to believe that a drugs transfer was due to take place in Malta.
Police had a van under observation in St Paul’s Bay and a search uncovered around 10kg of drugs believed to be cocaine worth over €1.3 million on the street.
At the same time two other men were arrested in Qormi.
The three men are in custody and are expected to appear in court in the coming days.
