This while these beaches were once again awarded the Blue Flag Award: Iż-żoni ta’ Fond Għadir; Il-Bajja ta’ San Ġorġ; Qawra Point Beach; Bugibba Perched Beach;
Il-bajja tal-Għadira;
Golden Bay; Għajn Tuffieħa; Paradise Bay;
Westin Dragonara Beach Club; Ir-Ramla l-Ħamra; Ħondoq ir-Rummien;
Il-bajja ta’ Marsalforn.

For beaches to be awarded the Blue Flag, several environmental, educational and other criteria related to beach safety and access must be met. The Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo explained that these results show that the work being carried out is translating into cleaner and safer beaches for the Maltese and the Gowis and for the tourists who visit our country. “The Maltese Tourism Authority is investing to continue diversifying the product that Malta offers to tourists. In the Summer months, our beaches are among the most frequented areas by visitors. Therefore, the work we are doing will continue to lead to more positive results.”
