A head-on collision involving two cars in Birkikara left three people in hospital, police said.
The collision happened in Triq Sir Anthony Mamo in Birkirkara at 7.15pm on Wednesday and involved a Volkswagen Golf being driven by a 30-year-old woman from Imqabba, and a Peugeot 208 driven by a 25-year-old Frenchman who lives in Mellieħa.
The Peugeot had four passengers, three men aged 27, 25 and 21 and a 19-year-old girl, all French nationals and living in Mellieħa.
A medical team was called to the scene and ambulances took the 30-year-old female driver of the Volkswagen Golf and two passengers from the Peugeot, the 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old girl, to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.
Mater Dei Hospital confirmed that the man and the 30-year-old woman suffered serious injuries while the 19-year-old girl suffered light injuries.
