The Minister for Public Works and Planning Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi attended the signing of an agreement between the Department of Public Works and the Local Council of San Ġwann.
Through this agreement, another investment is being made in an open space, this time in the locality of San Gwann. Minister Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi explained how “Through this project that will take place in the George Zarb Garden, we are continuing to work in order to continue to transform more areas that were in a neglected state into gardens and open spaces for the enjoyment of the communities ours.”
The Minister continued that this is another project from a series of projects that the Department of Public Works is carrying out in various localities in order, in collaboration with the Local Councils, to continue beautifying our localities.
The Mayor of San Gwann, Trevor Fenech said that “Through this investment, we are continuing to work together to have more open spaces in San Gwann and a better environment for everyone. This project will be transforming George Zarb Garden so that it is a complete garden with all facilities and accessible to everyone.”
The beautification and renovation works that will be carried out in this Garden consist of excavation works and construction of a water reservoir, paving work, installation of underground services, installation of automatic irrigation system, installation of outdoor furniture and other landscaping works.
