Lorenzo Vella has been appointed as the new head of the European Commission Representation in Valletta.
In this function, he will act as the official representative of the European Commission in Malta under the political authority of President Ursula von der Leyen
Vella will assume the role as the official representative of the European Commission in Malta following a drawnout selection process that was prolonged by concerns in Brussels about the lack of shortlisted female candidates.
