The Ministry for Health together with the United Workers Union – Voice of the Workers have signed a new sectoral agreement for pharmacy technicians employed in the public sector.
The agreement that was signed ensured, among others, an improvement in the career advancement of current and prospective employees, more opportunities for the pharmacy technicians to continue their studies in order to advance more expeditiously in their career and as well as an increase in allowances.
The agreement was signed by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry for Health Joseph Chetcuti on behalf of the Ministry for Health and Josef Vella, Gianpaul Gauci and Annalise Casha on behalf of UħM.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne, who presided over this signing, congratulated the Office of the Permanent Secretary and the union for the collaboration that led to this agreement, while he wished the work t -good to all pharmacy technicians. He mentioned the emphasis on the continuous training of workers, which is being done in all the new sectoral agreements, in order to always improve the service offered to the patient.
