Birkirkara said goodbye to this season’s UEFA Europa League with a 3-1 defeat to Russian side FC Krasnodar in the third qualifying round, second leg at the Kuban Stadium on Thursday evening.
A 3-0 defeat in last week’s opening leg at the Hibs Stadium had practcally ended the Stripes’ hopes of prolonging their run in Europe after having previously eliminated Siroki Brijek and Scottish Premier side Hearts.
