Malta’s Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe, Lorenzo Vella, has unanimously been elected Chair of the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe and will lead its Executive Committee for the next 2 years.
Following his election he said that Malta will continue to build on the excellent work carried out by Spain and will work to further advance the objectives and priorities of the Centre.
