Malta and Gozo go to the polls today in what is first General Election for the leaders of both main parties.
Labour leader and incumbant Prime Minister Robert Abela will be aiming to achieve a knock-out victory in his first election as leader while Opposition Nationalist Party leader Bernard Grech takes his party to the polls knowing that an election victory, according to all opinion polls, is way beyond his grasp.
The result of which party has won the election, is expected late on Sunday.
