Minister Camilleri said that, “while the road was being built, a base was built for the new pavement where the Belvedere is being enlarged. New tiles were installed and the pavement continued to rise from the Belvedere to the Soup Tower. The work was funded by the Ministry for Gozo in collaboration with the Nadur Local Council. In fact, Nadur Mayor Edward Said was present along with the councilors who thanked the minister for the work being done in this village in terms of building projects. of arterial and residential roads.
Minister Camilleri reminded that in the Budget for the year 2022 € 11 million has been allocated for the construction and improvement of roads – an unprecedented investment in the island of Gozo which confirms with facts the commitment of the ministry and of the government to continue modernizing the roads in Gozo. He stated that in the year 2020, almost 42,000 square meters of new roads were completed, while in 2021, the year just ended, about 68,000 square meters of new roads were completed.
