After extensive work on the site of the construction of the first international indoor swimming pool in Cospicua, the project is now well into its third and final phase. Excavation is complete and the swimming pool and spectator stands are currently being built on a € 14 million investment project.
“This is another project that is currently underway and that shows the commitment of the government to further strengthen the sports infrastructure in our country. After giving details about the € 3 million investment in the athletics stadium in Marsa in the past few days to raise it to an international level, today we are seeing another project on an international scale and from which the aquatic sector will benefit. of sport in our country, ”stated the Minister for Education and Sport Clifton Grima when he visited the work being done.
All ongoing projects in this sector complement the National Sports Strategy, while this swimming pool project is also promised in the electoral manifesto.
